What’s up everyone? Welcome back to Mental Sweat Monday, I’m Hannah Huesman.

Stress is something that we all deal with. The definition of stress is literally “pressure or tension exerted on a material object.”

Stress for humans comes when our bodies react to those high-pressure situations. When stress occurs, our brains release a burst of hormones that affect us physically. Increased blood rate, sweaty palms, high blood pressure, etc.

Once this happens, you have two ways to interpret the stress.

One – Stress is something that you have no control over, so you run away from it.

Two – Stress is something that you have control over, and you decide to run right at it.

The next time you’re feeling stress, stop what you’re doing, evaluate the situation that’s actually happening, figure out a plan to attack it and fight like crazy to overcome it.

We’ve all heard the saying that “diamonds are formed under pressure” and it’s true, but the most important part of the pressure you’re feeling is the way you decide to interpret it.
