MENTAL SWEAT MONDAY – Don’t Make Excuses

Today we’re going to talk about the difference between talking to yourself and listening to yourself.

Welcome back to Mental Sweat Monday, I’m Hannah Huesman.

Today I want to talk about how often we tend to let excuses win the day.

An excuse is either a reason for doing something:

  • You shouldn’t have done
  • Or a reason for not doing something you should have.

Excuses are cop outs. They are YOU trying to convince yourself that in order to achieve what you need to achieve, you don’t have to do what you need to do.

Excuses don’t lead to results. Excuses lead to poor performances. We have to become aware of when we’re making these excuses.

And it all starts with awareness!

You may make so many excuses that you aren’t even aware when you’re doing it. It takes a lot of courage to look inside and recognize when you’re doing this.

It’s not easy, but making excuses leads to poor performance. It’s that simple.

So instead of looking around you for all of the reasons you can’t do something. Look inside and find the one reason you can.
