You know how you get ready physically for a workout? Whether it’s stretching, taking Six Star Pre-Workout Explosion, or whatever your favorite warmup is?
My question is – How do you get ready mentally for your workout? Do you prepare mentally for your workout? And if you don’t, I challenge you to start and see if there’s a difference between when you do and when you don’t.
Here are some examples of how to prepare mentally for a workout.
Breathing Exercises
Mindfulness
Meditation
Writing down the goal of the workout
Writing down the purpose of the workout
Going through the motions in your mind
Self-talk, or concentration exercises
Now of course you don’t have to do all of these before your one workout but try one or two that may be your favorite and see what happens. Because in order to achieve optimal performance, your mind and body have to be working together. Don’t neglect your mental warmup.
